
Canonical, the company behind the popular open source operating system Ubuntu, is looking for new graduates to join its team of HR Generalists.
The positions are available in each major region of the world: EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
The company is looking for truly exceptional individuals who have graduated from their first undergraduate degree in the last six months or who will graduate in the next year.
Candidates will need to show a track record of consistent over-achievement at school and university, as well as evidence of a desire and ability to learn, drive and shape HR practices on the global stage in a rapidly changing world.
The HR Generalists will be responsible for supporting and coordinating general HR activities, such as answering team members’ questions, maintaining the HRIS, processing new hires, benefits and payroll, conducting audits, managing background checks and working on global projects.
The roles require excellent communication skills, a high level of honesty and integrity, a flexible attitude and a self-motivated approach.
The positions can be held in any time zone and offer an opportunity to start and progress a career in a People function supporting team members worldwide. The ideal candidates will have some experience working in an entry-level role in an HR or People Team and some existing knowledge of employment law. They will also have an inherent interest in the Technology sector, specifically Open Source.
