KURA seeks interns for various position

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is inviting applications from qualified Kenyan youths for its internship program.

The program aims to provide an opportunity for graduates and diploma holders to gain practical skills and work experience in various fields related to urban road development and management.

 

The internship positions available are in the following areas: civil engineering, human resource management, finance, procurement, communication, ICT, legal, and administration. The duration of the internship is six months, starting from October 2023.

 

To be eligible for the internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

 

– They must have a relevant degree or diploma from a recognized institution.

– They must be aged between 20 and 35 years.

– They must have graduated not later than 2018.

– They must have a recommendation or reference letter from the university or college they attended.

 

Additionally, civil engineering graduates must be registered as graduate engineers by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).

 

The successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate the following personal attributes:

 

– Integrity

– Goal orientation

– Self-motivation

– Passion

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Teamwork and problem-solving skills

– Proficiency in computer skills

 

The interns will receive a monthly stipend of Kshs.25,000 for degree holders and Kshs.20,000 for diploma holders, subject to statutory deductions.

The authority does not guarantee employment after completion of the internship program and the internship is not renewable.

The deadline for application is Friday, 15th September 2023. Only selected candidates will be contacted. Beneficiaries of internship program from any other institution are not eligible. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

Candidates who will be shortlisted will be required to submit proof of a valid personal accident insurance cover, certificate of good conduct, KRA PIN certificate, NHIF, NSSF and bank account details.
