Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced job openings for members of the Independent Negotiation and Evaluation Committee
The Public Service Commission has announced that there are a total of fifty job openings available for members of the Independent Negotiation and Evaluation Committee.
Individuals who are interested in applying for these posts that are relevant to performance contracting were sent an invitation by the Commission in a statement that was made public on Tuesday, July 18th.
The members that are chosen will serve for a period of no more than three years at a time in a part-time capacity.
In addition, the PSC noted that members who successfully completed their term would be eligible for consideration for reappointment if they had a good performance during their original term.
According to a statement made by the Public Service Commission (PSC), “Interested and eligible individuals are requested to submit their applications online via the Commission’s website or jobs portal.”
A bachelor’s degree from an approved university, a minimum of ten years of professional experience in an area related to the position, understanding of national development goals, and experience in performance management are expected of applicants.
In addition, candidates have to be in accordance with Chapter Six of the Constitution, which outlines the requirements for leadership and integrity.
The Commission detailed the roles and responsibilities of the Committee, which include negotiating performance contracts with public entities, ensuring alignment between performance targets and indicators and the strategic plan, and verifying that performance targets correspond with the performance indicators outlined in the strategic plan. These responsibilities were outlined by the Commission.
In addition, it will be the Committee’s responsibility to make sure that the indicators are citizen-focused, to conduct mid-year performance evaluations of public institutions, and to evaluate the performance of these entities.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) highlighted that giving misleading information in the application would result in immediate disqualification, and that any sort of canvassing would not be tolerated. In addition, they stated that canvassing would not be tolerated.
The deadline for submitting applications to the Commission has been extended to July 30 at 5 p.m., according to the statement released by the Commission.
The Commission strongly urged women, adolescents, persons with disabilities, those from marginalized groups, and members of minority groups to submit their applications.
