Safaricom, Kenya’s leading mobile network operator and provider of the M-Pesa mobile money service, is looking for a content growth manager to join its team in Nairobi.
The content growth manager will be responsible for managing the content portfolio for Safaricom’s digital platforms, such as Bonga, Viusasa, Skiza, and Songa.
These platforms offer a variety of entertainment and social media services to Safaricom’s customers, such as music streaming, video on demand, chat, and gaming.
Needed qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field, and at least five years of experience in content management, acquisition, or distribution.
The candidate should also have strong knowledge of the Kenyan and African content market, as well as the latest trends and technologies in the digital media industry.
The candidate should be able to negotiate contracts with content providers, monitor and analyze content performance, and develop and implement strategies to grow the content user base and revenue.
